Therapy that integrates mind, body, and spirit.
At Living Well Mindfully, therapy is more than addressing symptoms—it’s an invitation to discovery. Often the reason one seeks therapy is not the deepest gain; the journey itself opens the door to self-exploration, resilience, and self-love. Under the guidance of Melissa Schroeder, Psy.D., BCBA, clients experience a thoughtful blend of psychodynamic therapy, Eastern philosophy, and practical strategies of CBT, DBT, ACT, and Mindfulness. Dr. Schroeder specializes in supporting teens, young adults, and Queer youth navigating trauma, identity, and emotional challenges, while also offering parent support to strengthen family systems. With compassion, curiosity, and an integrative approach—including somatic and movement-based practices—she creates a safe space where healing unfolds in both mind and body.
Dr. Schroeder is active in several professional and lived-experience networks, including Suffolk County Psychological Association, National Register of Health Service Psychologists, Buddhist and Contemplative Practices Group, The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, National Association for Rights Protection and Advocacy.
